Andy Cooper underwent a hip resurfacing procedure with Mark Norton just over three months ago, and his progress has been remarkable. His primary goal was to return to surfing—a passion he feared he might have to give up.
“I had a hip resurface with Mark Norton just over 3 months ago… I am back surfing again which was the primary hope and objective. The only limitation at this point is a little more work needed on gaining greater knee to chest flexibility, pop up is a little slow but improving and reduced strength in lateral movement – it’s my leading leg and the force needed to ‘cut back’ needs building. But at 3 months it’s pretty incredible….no limitations or discomfort in day to day activities. Feeling very grateful for this new lease of life.”
Andy’s journey highlights the transformative impact of hip resurfacing for active adults. Procedures like these not only restore mobility but also allow patients to return to the sports and activities they love—often sooner than they expect.
Stories like Andy’s are a powerful reminder of the life-changing potential of advanced hip care, enabling patients to reclaim their active lifestyles and continue pursuing their passions.
